Daylong Retreats

Our daylong retreats offer an opportunity to step out of the usual momentum of daily life and spend a day practicing together in community.

The day typically includes periods of seated meditation, walking meditation, dharma reflections, guided practices, and time for rest, integration, and connection. Depending on the retreat, practices may include loving-kindness meditation, mindfulness, visualization, medicine Buddha, deity practice, or other contemplative exercises.

A retreat is not about achieving a special state or becoming a perfect meditator. It's an invitation to slow down, pay attention, and spend time with your experience in a supportive environment.

There is a balance of silence and community throughout the day. We alternate between sitting and walking meditation, so we're not sitting still for hours at a time. Lunch may be had in silence or used as an opportunity for quiet conversation and connection with the sangha. We also usually leave space near the end of the day for questions, discussion, and reflection.

Retreats can be a powerful way to deepen practice, but they are also surprisingly simple. We gather, we sit, we walk, we pay attention, and we support one another in remembering what matters.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience.
